The yen has been historically weak against the ringgit through 2025–26, which is good news for Malaysian travellers. Rates move daily, so it pays to watch the trend rather than exchange the moment you book.
Tip: KL changers tend to post their sharpest JPY spreads mid-week. Avoid exchanging on weekends when rates are frozen at Friday's close.
